What: V-day Rock Climbing Clinics

When: 3-8 pm

Where: Far North Climbing Gym, 10th & K in Arcata

Price: $10 pays for the drop-in fee and shoe rental,

        $1 raffle tickets

Details: Show off your strength or just learn a fun new empowering sport.  Join V-day Humboldt, Roots to Rocks, and Far North Climbing for a women's rock climbing clinic. There will be basic skills classes in bouldering and top roping, as well as yoga/stretches that are good pre- or post-climbing. Join us after the skills clinics for a fun climbing movie and raffle.

Where: D St. Community Center, Arcata

Price: $10 drop-in fee, $1 raffle tickets

Details: Come shake and groove the night away to the music and guidance of various Zumba instructors of Humboldt County.

What: One Billion Rising Info Table and Flash Mob

When: 1-3 pm; Dance at 2:14

Where: Arcata Plaza

Details:  Meet on the Plaza by around 2:05/2:10.
At 2:14 pm, on V-Day’s 15th Anniversary, 2.14.13, we are inviting ONE BILLION women and those who love them to WALK OUT, DANCE, RISE UP, and DEMAND an end to this violence. ONE BILLION RISING will move the earth, activating women and men across every country. V-Day wants the world to see our collective strength, our numbers, our solidarity across borders. Take 10 minutes out of your day to show your support by simply shaking your booty.

What: The Vagina Monologues

Where: Eureka Veteran's Memorial Hall at 1018 H Street in Eureka

Price: $12 per person, $1 raffle tickets

Details:  The award-winning play is based on V-Day Founder/playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace the piece celebrates women’s sexuality and strength. Through this play and the liberation of this one word, countless women throughout the world have taken control of their bodies and their lives. Details:  In conjunction with the 15th anniversary, V-Day launched its most ambitious campaign to date - ONE BILLION RISING. The concept of the campaign is simple. If you take into account the statistic that 1 out of 3 women will experience violence in her lifetime, you are left with the staggering statistic that over 1 billion women on this planet will be impacted by violence.
